A Fourier transform infrared spectrometer using one side coated beam splitter is provided to use the one side coated beam splitter to reduce manufacturing costs. A Fourier transform infrared spectrometer using one side coated beam splitter(100) includes a light source(102) for generating infrared ray, a transparent glass substrate(114), a beam splitter(110) having a coating surface(112) for partially reflecting the infrared ray entering a side of the substrate and for partially transmitting the infrared ray, a first mirror(120), a second mirror(130), a first optical device(140), a second optical device(150), and a photo detector(160). Firstly, the infrared ray emitted from the light source enters an upper side of the beam splitter at an angle of 45 degrees with respect to an optical axis of the infrared ray. A part of the infrared ray entering the upper side of the beam splitter transmits the coating surface and the substrate and refracted to enter the first optical device. The first and second optical devices are preferably implemented by retroreflectors.
