A BcN(Broadband Convergence Network) topology designing module and a method for operating the same are provided to enable a developer to design a convenient and efficient network topology by providing an optimum path determination function, an error correction function, a link error check function, and a resource automatic distribution function of a subscriber node between nodes. A method for operating a BcN topology designing module includes the steps of: maintaining a designing information database which records a BcN real measurement data received from a predetermined communication network system(201); outputting the BcN real measurement data recorded in the designing information database through a predetermined user interface unit, and receiving BcN designing data according to a design of the network topology from a user(202); receiving an analysis request input for the BcN designing data inputted from the user(203); calculating network state information including state information of a service quality or state information of a network traffic according to the BcN designing data and the BcN real measurement data through a predetermined algorithm(204); and outputting the network state information to the user interface unit, and repeating the steps 202 to 204 according to a command input of the user(205).
