THIN FILM TRANSISTOR AND MULTIDOMAIN LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY HAVING THE SAME

A TFT(Thin Film Transistor) substrate and a multi-domain LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) including the same are provided to form an insulating protrusion member at an area for connecting a sub pixel electrode or a contact area or to form a pattern on an organic insulating layer. A gate line(110) is extended toward a direction. A data line(120) is crossed with the gate line. A TFT is connected with the gate line and the data line. A pixel electrode is connected with the TFT and has at least one incision pattern for forming a multi-domain. A protrusion member(150) is formed on the pixel electrode and controls the array direction of the liquid crystal particles. The protrusion member includes insulating materials. The pixel electrode is divided into plural sub pixel electrodes by the incision pattern. The protrusion pattern is formed at the area connected with the sub pixel electrode or the area connected with the TFT and the pixel electrode. A shape of the protrusion member is any one among triangle, square or ellipse. The TFT substrate also includes a storage capacitor electrode line including a storage capacitor electrode partially overlapped with the pixel electrode.
