A method for extracting an edge of angiocardiography using a least squares method is provided to perform a high accurate function by generating an edge extraction algorithm having a high extraction speed and a high accuracy. A method for extracting an edge of angiocardiography using a least squares method includes the steps of: displaying a pixel value of an image which extracts a return-line using a least square method, on a graph; performing an interpolation for a parabola of the graph; searching all edges of the extracted pixels and displaying an edge of a blood vessel on a total image region. An average value of two lines is calculated if both blood vessels are displayed on the image. A tangential equation is calculated by a differential function at all points of the average value line. A thickness of both blood vessels is calculated from a cross point where the tangential line is across with a linear equation which is perpendicular to the tangential line.
