The assembly and sealing of metallic ducts consists of aligning sections of the ducts (1a, 1b) so that their edges (6, 7) support an intermediate sealing joint (8). The connecting edges (6, 7) are folded to form a first fold (6a, 7a) of 90 degrees and a second fold (6b, 7b) of about 135 degrees. Channels (2) having an open square section slide over the top of the edges (6, 7) so that the second edge fold lies in contact with the inside of the channel. The ducts are suspended by fixing supports having the exact profile of the sliding channel to which they are attached by bolts. USE - Joining and sealing of ventilation ducts.
