A method for raising the temperature of salt water when refining salt, and the like is provided to enable efficient heat transfer without a waste of heat by allowing the heat going out through a combustion outlet to be absorbed maximumly into the water. A method for raising the temperature of salt water when refining salt, and the like comprises: immersing a boiler(1) in salt water and immersing a buoyant container(3) by half; feeding gas or oil in the boiler through a gas or oil hose(4); igniting a burner(2) by opening a valve(6); producing air through a combustion outlet(7); and allowing air to flow into the boiler through an air inlet(5) by a ventilating fan at the end of a combustion outlet, wherein the ignition boiler and the buoyant container are covered with copper plate. The boiler is immersed in salt water, therefore the heat on the boiler is transferred directly to the water.
