A spider-like robot is provided to easily pick agricultural products, save lives in the event of outbreak of fire in a high building, or paint or clean the wall of a building. A spider-like robot has a head equipped with a camera lens eye. The robot is connected to a sensor through a cable. The robot is set on a horizontal stable rod in such a manner that the robot is rotatable and detachable. The horizontal stable rod has both ends connected to a power supply line. The robot has a main body in which a reel unit is arranged. The reel unit includes a reel and a motor which are coaxially arranged.
