METHOD FOR RECOGNIZING A TOUCH INPUT IN MOBILE COMMUNICATION TERMINAL HAVING TOUCH SCREEN AND MOBILE COMMUNICATION TERMINAL ABLE TO IMPLEMENT THE SAME

A method for recognizing touch input in a mobile communication terminal having a touch screen and the mobile communication terminal capable of realizing the same are provided to previously preventing an error in input of the terminal caused by carelessness by using a touch area, touch time and the number of touched key buttons, thereby contributing to convenience in terminal use. A method for recognizing touch input in a mobile communication terminal having a touch screen comprises the following steps of: sensing touch inputted on the touch screen(S210); calculating an area of the touch(S230); comparing the area of the touch with a preset area(S240); and recognizing the touch input as an error if the area of the touch is larger than the preset area, and recognizing the touch input as normal input if not so(S250,S280). The preset area is decided by statistically considering the maximum area of a section of a finger of the people.
