A fault diagnosis circuit of an encoder for an actuator of an active geometry control system is provided to detect a signal line of an encoder circuit precisely and simply by respectively mounting the fault diagnosis circuit in each encoder circuit. A fault diagnosis circuit of an encoder for an actuator of an active geometry control system includes first and second encoder circuits(10,20) installed in an actuator motor of the active geometry control system to detect rotation of the motor, first and second voltage division resistance circuits(R1,R2,R3,R4) dividing output signals from the first and second encoder circuits, first and second comparator circuits(30,40) outputting first and second encoder signals by comparing the output signals from the first and second voltage division resistance circuits with the reference voltage, first and second clamp circuits(50,60) outputting first and second encoder fault diagnosis signals by clamping the output signals from the first and second voltage division resistance circuits, and a microcontroller(70) detecting operation of the active geometry control system by receiving the first and second encoder signals and diagnosing short circuit of the first or second encoder circuit by receiving the first and second encoder fault diagnosis signals. The first and second encoder circuits include hall integrated circuit elements(12,22).
