A composition comprising the extracts of Dioscorea quinqueloba and Viscum album var. coloratum showing anti-oxidative, anti-aging by anti-lipid peroxidation, anti-inflammatory and phlegm discharge activity is provided to inhibit apoptosis and inflammation by reducing lipid peroxidation, discharge phlegm, and prevent and treat cell aging, arteriosclerosis and respiratory disease. The composition for preventing and treating diseases related to oxidation, aging or inflammation comprises the extracts of Dioscorea quinqueloba and Viscum album var. coloratum, wherein the amount of extracts of Dioscorea quinqueloba and Viscum album var. coloratum is 0.1-50 wt.% based on the total weight of the composition, and is prepared by extracting Dioscorea quinqueloba and Viscum album var. coloratum with water or C1-C4 lower alcohol. The Dioscorea quinqueloba is the root or shoot of Dioscorea quinqueloba; the daily dosage of the extracts of Dioscorea quinqueloba and Viscum album var. coloratum is 0.0001-100 mg/kg; and the composition is health food composition formulated as powder, granule, tablet, capsule or drink.
