A novel Streptomyces fradiae WR isolated from soil is provided to be able to effectively inhibit the growth of Salmonella gallinarum, which is a causing bacteria of fowl typhoid, and harmful microorganisms, thereby being used for preventing and treating fowl typhoid. The novel Streptomyces fradiae WR for inhibiting growth of Salmonella gallinarum and harmful intestinal microorganism is deposited as a deposition number of KACC 91271P. The veterinary composition comprises the effective amount of the Streptomyces fradiae WR(deposition no. KACC 91271P), and a veterinary acceptable carrier. The composition further comprises lactic acid bacteria and at least one between beta-glucan and fructooligosaccharide.
