An optical transceiver and an optical transceiver module are provided to economically form an optical network by amplifying signal light through a gain medium positioned on an optical transmission path by monolithically integrating a pump light source with a signal light source or an optical receiver. An optical transceiver monolithically integrated with a pump light source(314) is composed of: an optical transmitter converting an input electrical signal into a downward optical signal; an optical receiver(313) converting a received upward electrical signal into an electrical signal; the pump light source outputting an optical signal for amplifying the downward or upward optical signal in passing through a gain medium positioned at an optical transmission path; a convergence unit(311) aligning or converging the downward and upward optical signals on the optical transmission path; and a multiplexing/demultiplexing filter disposed in the middle portion between the convergence unit and a multiplexing filter to transmit the downward optical signal and the amplified optical signal through the convergence unit, demultiplex the upward optical signal, and then transmit the demultiplexed optical signal to the optical receiver.
