The invention relates to sinomenine and compounds thereof and also to compounds of formula (I): wherein RSUB1 /SUBrepresents alkyl, RSUB2 /SUBrepresents hydrogen or alkylcarbonyl, haloalkylcarbonyl or arylcarbonyl, Y represents a group RSUB3/SUB, RSUB4/SUB, R'SUB4/SUB, RSUB5/SUB, R'SUB5 /SUBand RSUB6 /SUBare as defined in the description, and X represents halogen and medicinal products containing the same which are useful in treating mnemocognitive disorders.
