METHOD FOR OPERATING NETWORK LINK WITH MOBILE TELECOMMUNICATION AND WIRELESS BROADBAND INTERNET

A network interworking method between mobile communication and portable Internet is provided to be capable of performing handoff between a mobile communication network and the portable Internet by using an L2TP(Layer2 Tunneling Protocol) interface, thus data loss and delay time can be reduced. An MS(Mobile Station)(1) attempts to connect with a mobile communication network after releasing a radio access network of the portable Internet(S300). A PCF(Point Coordination Function)(12) sets an R-P connection with a PDSN(Packet Data Service Node)(52)(S304), and informs a BSS(Base Station System)(14) that an A8 connection is established(S306). The MS(1) progresses a PPP(Point to Point Protocol) setup procedure with the PDSN(52)(S308). When authentication is requested to an AAA(Authentication, Authorization, Accounting) unit(34), the PDSN(52) transmits realm information received from the MS(1)(S310). The AAA unit(34) transmits information of an IWU(Inter Working Unit)(54) to the PDSN(52)(S312), and forms an L2TP tunnel with the IWU(54)(S314). The IWU(54) informs an ACR(Access Controller Router)(22) that handoff occurs from the portable Internet(S318), and allocates IP(Internet Protocol) information assigned to the MS(1) to the MS(1)(S322). A traffic transceiving process is performed(S324).
