Method of multistage interference cancellation for multiuser detection

PURPOSE: A multi-stage interference cancellation method for multi-user reception is provided to increase multi-user capacity by canceling an interference by multi-user access through an interference cancellation technique. CONSTITUTION: An interference cancellation system estimates the maximum eigenvalue or minimum eigenvalue of a matrix that a constant matrix is subtracted from a user's active code correlation matrix(401). The system receives a signal passed through a despreader and a matched filter(402) and approximates an eigenvalue existing between the maximum eigenvalue and the minimum eigenvalue(403). The system normalizes the output value of each stage in order to obtain the weight variable of each state through the approximated variable(404). If a received signal(r(t)) is supplied from the external, the system takes the output value of a signal before filtering and determination as an initial value and obtains the output value of the first stage. Then, using the linear sum of more than two temporary judgement signals obtained from stages previous to the first stage, the system measures the final user signal(406).
