A song accompaniment apparatus having learning function and a learning method thereof are provided to determine a correct input state of voice by using code patterns corresponding to pictures. A code recognition unit(24) recognizes code patterns corresponding to pictures. A microphone(32) converts voice signals to an electrical signal. A sound source module(20) synthesizes and outputs data corresponding to the code patterns. A controller(28) receives code pattern recognition data and performs a control operation for displaying decision results. A memory(30) stores the code patterns, character and voice data corresponding to the code patterns, programs for controlling operations of the controller, and image signals. An amplifier/limiter(34) amplifies and limits the voice signals. An A/D-D/A converter(36) converts the sound signals to digital signals or the sound signals to analog signals. A low pass filter(38) removes sampling noise. An RF amplifier(40) converts output signals of the low pass filter to FM(Frequency Modulation) frequencies and outputs frequency-modulated signals. A voice/character converter(52) converts the voice signals to character data. A buffer memory(54) temporarily stores the converted data of the voice/character converter. A comparator(56) compares the character data of the buffer memory with the character data of the memory.
