METHOD FOR TRANSMITTING JAVA MULTIMEDIA MESSAGES BASED IN THE JAVA FLATFORM

A method for transmitting a java platform-based java multimedia message is provided to allow a Java multimedia message server to compile and complete a user created multimedia message, thereby reducing the burden of a memory generated in creating a multimedia message in a mobile terminal. When a mobile terminal user requests transmission of a multimedia message, a transmission mobile terminal executes a Java application, converts a character string inputted from the user and resource information to be added into a Java source file, and transmits it to a Java multimedia message server through the wireless Internet to request transmission of the Java multimedia message(S10-S13). The Java multimedia message server compiles the received Java source file to generate a Java multimedia message in the form of a JAR(Java Archive) file and store it(S14-S15). The Java multimedia message server informs a reception mobile terminal about arrival of the Java multimedia message through a mobile communication network by using a push message(S17). Upon receiving the push message, the reception mobile terminal executes the Java application so as to be connected with the Java multimedia message server and downloads the Java multimedia message(S18).
