Method for Setting Function Between Multi-Function USB Slave Device and USB Host Device and Multi-Function USB Slave Device therefor

A method for setting a function between a multi-function USB slave device and a USB host device, and a multi-function USB slave device thereof are provided to enable the host device using the first function as default to apply the function applied to the multi-function slave device by enabling the multi-function slave device to manage a plurality of functions based on a function index. A file I/O(Input/Output) subsystem(300) stores a function descriptor for a function index operated in a wireless Internet platform(100) and information for a USB port used in the wireless Internet platform. A USB manager module(200) manages USB information corresponding to the operated function index by connecting to the file I/O subsystem. A device manager module(420) manages USB function descriptor information provided from a terminal maker. If a function descriptor request command is received from the USB host device, the device manager module combines the descriptor including both of the descriptors for the function index managed by the USB manager module and provided from the terminal maker, and transmits the descriptor to the USB host device by setting the recent activated function as the first function index.
