PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide music less in the deterioration of sound quality to a mobile telephone employing, in particular, a codec with a narrow bandwidth. PSOLUTION: A melody reproduction control server 1 includes a melody reproduction indication reception portion 11 which receives an actuation indication from an MSC 54 through a GS 53, a codec kind detection portion 12 which detects the codec kind of an origination-side mobile telephone U1, and a sound source file transmission portion 13 which acquires a sound source file corresponding to the codec kind of the origination-side mobile telephone U1 and transmits the sound source file from a radio base station 51 to the mobile telephone U1. The melody reproduction control server 1 decides the codec kind of the origination-side mobile telephone U1 from an originating network kind included in an actuation signal (IAMI) and selects a sound source file with the best sound quality corresponding to the codec kind. Thus, the sound source file exclusive for a narrow-bandwidth codec is selected and reproduced, so that the music of the best sound quality within a reproducible range of the codec of the mobile telephone can be provided.
