DISC OPENING AND CLOSING DEVICE OF BUTTERFLY VALVE

PURPOSE: A butterfly valve is provided to prolong the life span thereof by reducing the frictional abrasion of a body seat and a disc seat. CONSTITUTION: A disc opening shaft(6) connected to a handle(10) is operated by the rotation of the handle to open/close a disc coupled to the disc opening shaft. The disc opening shaft has a vertical shaft and an inclined shaft(6'). When opening the disc, a disc seat(5) adhered to a body seat(2) of a butterfly valve body(1) is moved from the body seat horizontally to be separated from the body seat and disc is rotated to be opened. When closing the disc, the disc is rotated to be closed and the disc seat is moved to the body seat horizontally to adhere to the body seat.
