A projection keyboard system for child education and a key input method thereof are provided to realize various shapes of keyboards with one product by projecting a virtual keyboard image with visible light. An image storing part(210) stores a plurality of child education keyboard images. A function storing part(220) stores functions performed according to a position selected in the keyboard images. A projector(240) projects the selected keyboard image in a virtual keyboard type. A selected position detector(250) detects the position selected by the user in a projected virtual keyboard area. A function executor(260) executes the function corresponding to the selected position by using the selected position and the function corresponding to the position detected in the keyboard image.
