A method of manufacturing a citrus fruit medium for culturing mushrooms is provided to produce a mushroom and raw material for food using citrus fruit without sawdust or rice hulls without generating secondary wastes. And a processed mushroom product by using the citrus fruit medium is prepared. First, unripe citrus fruit or fully ripe citrus fruit is wet-ground with a continuous juice extractor to 5 to 10 meshes. Secondly, ground citrus fruit is separated into fruit meat and fruit juice. After controlling the pH of the fruit meat to 4 to 6 using a neutralizer, the fruit meat is dried with a microwave dryer to a moisture content of less then 10%(w/w). The neutralizer is selected from calcium carbonate, sodium hydroxide and potassium hydroxide. The processed mushroom product is obtained by grinding mushroom mycelium or fruit bodies which are cultured with the citrus fruit medium and forming into a capsule, tablet, pill and paste form.
