The present invention relates to an optical cable for pneumatic installation having excellent pneumatic laying characteristics and improved cutting and tearing characteristics. The optical cable according to the present invention includes at least one optical fiber and an optical fiber inserted therein, and contains an inorganic additive together with a polyethylene resin, but includes 0.2 to 60 parts by weight of an inorganic additive with respect to 100 parts by weight of polyethylene resin, and has a thickness of 0.5 mm or less. The sheath surrounds the inner sheath and has an outer sheath having a thickness of 0.3 mm or less and an outer diameter of 3 mm or less. The optical cable according to the present invention is secured by the tensile force required to support its own structure when pneumatically laid and smoothly laid, and easy to peel off and cut, so that the cable is easily connected and branched.
