STN LCD Driver with low power consumption

PURPOSE: An STN(Super Twisted Nematic) LCD driver for reducing power consumption is provided to reduce unnecessary current which is consumed in a buffer portion of the STN LCD driver. CONSTITUTION: A resistance array(100) generates the first to the fifth reference voltages(V1 to V5) by a plurality of serial resistances(R1 to R5) for dividing a reference voltage(Vref). The first reference voltage selection portion(200) outputs the second and the fourth reference voltages(V2,V4) when an LCD inversion drive signal is activated or the third and the fifth reference voltages(V3,V5) when the LCD inversion drive signal is inactivated. A buffer portion(300) buffers the first to the fifth reference voltages(V1 to V5). The second reference voltage selection portion(400) outputs the second and the fourth reference voltages(V2,V4) when the LCD inversion drive signal is activated or the third and the fifth reference voltages(V3,V5) when the LCD inversion drive signal is inactivated.
