PURPOSE: A garlic-based preparation and beverage exhibiting antioxidation, detoxication, immunostimulating, cholesterol decomposing and anticancer action to human body are provided which have a reduced garlic odor, are easy to take and reduce a garlic odor generated from breathed air after taking. CONSTITUTION: This garlic-based preparation contains 100 parts by weight of garlic, 30 to 70 parts by weight of bamboo salt, 5 to 50 parts by weight of ginger, 5 to 50 parts by weight of Glycyrrhizae Radix and additionally one or more selected from the group consisting of Ginseng radix rubra powder, Ulmi cortex powder, vitamin C, chitosan, glucose and lactose. The garlic-based beverage is prepared by mixing the garlic-based preparation with water and contains 0.01 to 20% by weight of the garlic-based preparation.
