APPARATUS FOR COOLING BEARING PART OF SLAB TRANSFERRING ROLL ADJACENT TO REHEATING FURNACE

An apparatus for cooling a bearing of a slab transferring roll adjacent to a furnace is provided to prevent grease fed to both a bearing housing and a bearing from being degraded by surrounding the bearing with a bearing cooling unit. An apparatus for cooling a bearing(134) slab transferring roll(130) adjacent to a furnace comprises a cooling unit(10). The cooling unit surrounds the bearing to prevent the bearing from being damaged due to heat transferred through milled material or the furnace. The cooling unit includes a first cooling portion(50) and a second cooling portion(70). The first cooling portion is mounted on a base block to surround the top of the bearing. The second cooling portion is mounted on the rear part of the base block to surround the rear part of the bearing.
