WIDE BAND ANTENNA OF USING COUPLED PATCH AND WIDE BAND CHARACTERIZING METHOD THEREOF

A wide band antenna using a coupled patch and a method for implementing characteristics of the wide band are provided to realize the wide band antenna with small antenna volume and to easily adjust the resonant frequency by controlling the area and length of the coupled patch. A wide band antenna using a coupled patch includes a main spiral patch(240) and a coupled patch(275). The main spiral patch is connected to a feeding part(270) which supplies electric energy on one surface of the PCB for wireless communication terminal. The main spiral patch is disconnected from a ground (250). The coupled patch has the predetermined area at the opposite surface of the one where the feeding part is placed, and consists of a conductor which is connected with the ground with an inductor. The inductor is a chip inductor. According to the length or area of the coupled patch and the location of the inductor the resonant frequency is adjusted.
