摘要

A low profile planar array is presented for the wide-band wide-angle-scan application. Here the aperture-coupled stacked patches are used as the array element, and a co-axial-to-stripline transition is constituted for the feeding structure, considering the integration with the active transmit/receive module. The performance of the array element under the periodic boundary condition is analyzed, and an 8*4 array demonstrator is built. From the simulated results, a desired wide-band wide-angle-scan characteristic is achieved, and a large phased array can be constituted from the modular tile based on the proposed array demonstrator.
