METHOD FOR TREATING LARYNGEAL AND TRACHEAL STENOSES CAUSED BY CICATRICIAL CHANGES

FIELD: medicine.;SUBSTANCE: method involves applying electrostimulation by placing electrodes on the neck region. The first two pairs of electrodes are symmetrically set as ribbon not closed in circle in parallel to each other to embrace anterolateral and posterior neck surface. Electrode ends are arranged in front of sternocleidomastoid muscle on both sides so that ends of the second of them are at the level of the first and the second trachea ring. The next two electrodes are placed in submandibular region in mouth aperture projection. Two other electrode pairs are placed on both sides on both omohyoid muscle bellies. Beside that, two electrodes are longitudinally arranged in superior one-third of the frontal neck surface at the level of larynx and trachea. Electrostimulation begins from submandibular muscles in the whole mouth aperture projection. Then, muscles artound the neck are stimulated. Current is supplied to omohyoid muscle bellies region and then to lower one-third of the frontal neck surface. The treatment is carried out with low frequency pulsating electric current of 20-120 Hz and 0.1-30 mA intensity 2 s long in each mentioned regions. Total treatment time is equal to 10 min at the first two or three procedures and then 20 min to the end of treatment course. The total treatment course is 10-15 procedures long in everyday mode.;EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of treatment.;1 dwg
