METHOD FOR MAJOR UNDERWATER PIPELINE REPAIR

FIELD: pipeline transportation devices, particularly underwater pipeline overhaul.;SUBSTANCE: method involves inspecting underwater pipeline; removing pipeline sagging; covering eroded pipeline sections with bags formed of porous material and filled with cement-sand mix and setting-on weight; emptying pipeline and cleaning thereof; installing mineshaft on underwater pipeline; pumping-out water therefrom; cutting technological windows in shore-based pipeline section and in mineshaft; inserting centrifugal spraying head into pipeline through technological window made in shore-based pipeline section; advancing the spraying head up to mineshaft window; supplying cement-sand mix inside driving centrifugal spraying head body and applying cement-sand covering on inner pipeline surface by drawing out the spray head with predetermined speed. The second pipeline section is repaired in the same way. After inner pipeline surface covering with cement-sand mix the technological windows are sealed by welding, pipeline is hydraulically tested and mineshaft is removed.;EFFECT: increased quality of repair works.
