The present invention relates to a cover for asparagus fields, consisting of a film web for placing on the crown and the side surfaces of a raised asparagus bed and, if appropriate, to partial areas of the grooves on both sides, dam. In order to make available a cover which, in the preparation of the asparagus tec easy removal can be raised and then can be deposited again, without long operating times to make necessary in this case, it is provided that the film web along each of its two longitudinal edges is folded over on itself, whereby the folded region (6) with the main part (4) of the film web is connected by welding or adhesive bonding, wherein compounds between the folded region (6) and the main part (4) of the film web are formed in the longitudinal direction of the film web, wherein compounds (9) between the folded region (6) and the main part (4) of the film web transversely to the longitudinal direction of the film web are formed, so that in the longitudinal direction, successive pockets, and wherein the transverse to the longitudinal direction of the film web compounds (9) formed at a distance (b) before the umfalt edge (5) ends.
