Bi:phosphite compounds have the formula (I); in which Z1-4 = optionally substituted (hetero)aromatic groups with 4-20 carbon (C) atoms, in which any substituent on C atoms of an aromatic ring adjacent to the C atoms bound to the oxygen (O) atoms is a 0-2 C group and the pairs Z1/Z2 and Z3/Z4 are not linked to one another; Ar-Ar- = a bisarylene group of formula (A-I) to (A-III); R11, R21, R31 = 3-20 C alkyl or cycloalkyl;R12-14, R22-24, R32-34- = hydrogen (H), 1-20 C alkyl, alkoxy, cycloalkyl, cycloalkoxy, dialkylamino, aryl, aryloxy, alkylaryl, alkylaryloxy, arylalkyl, arylalkoxy, cyano (CN), hydroxyl (OH) or halogen.
