The device has a unit-feeder attached to a supply station, where the feeder brings a component e.g. weld nut, in a volume flow in a haul-way (16), whereby an end of a haul-way is attached to the unit-feeder in a retainer. The haul-way at its end has an adapter (26), where the adapter encloses the end of the haul-way in a form-fit manner and is formed in a form-fit manner with respect to an outer contour of the retainer. The adapter is made of a hardening medium e.g. cast resin. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a device for manufacturing an adapter (2) a method of manufacturing an adapter.
