The sun screen has a lighting unit (28) integrated in a basic body (20), and the basic body has at least one light-penetrable area through which light from the lighting unit emerges for illumination of the interior of the vehicle. A first light-penetrable area (22) is located on the upper side of the basic body and a second light-penetrable area (24) is located on the underside. The two light-penetrable areas are each designed as a plastic cover (21,23), wherein the lighting unit is fastened on the first plastic cover.
