The method involves using a cursor represented as a foreground on a display for navigation, and fixing the cursor position on a display. The menu is represented as a movable background on the display. The movement of an electronic device is recognized by an image recording device. The menu is displaced according to the requirements of the recognized movement. The relative position of the cursor and menu entry is found by the device. Independent claims are also included for: (1) a method for designing of units that are represented on the display of an electronic device such as mobile telephone; and (2) an electronic device is arranged such that a method for navigation by the menu of an electronic device is implemented.
