The cylinder has an adjustable stroke, in which a piston pressurized with pressurizing medium is axial movably arranged within cylinder housing in one side. A piston rod (3), which pulls out from the cylinder housing to a front end stands in connection with the piston for power transmission. A cylinder head unit (6) is adjustable axially relative to the housing by a winding. The unit (6) acts together with a corresponding catch on the part of the piston rod by a catch section, where the rod extends into the piston head side. An inner winding is arranged within the unit (6). The catch section of the cylinder head unit is shaped in a hollow cylinder and projected in the inner side of the housing.
