The cylinder has two axial adjustable piston rods (1, 2) guided parallel to each other in a housing (3). The piston rods are designed by a pressurized medium loaded adjusting cylinder (4) in a controllable manner. An axial movable piston is supported by the pressurized medium loaded adjusting cylinder. The adjusting cylinder is arranged in the housing. The piston rods extend till the adjusting cylinder, and are fastened directly at the piston of the cylinder. A hoist limiting element is arranged in the adjusting cylinder between a wall of the housing and the piston.
