Method for continuous production of polycondensates comprises preparing a pre-polycondensate me solidifying and forming a pre-polycondensate particles; thermally treating the pre-polycondensate particles in a solid phase and in at least two successively operated reactors under the conventional flow of a gas stream and the process is carried out in a cycle, where a part of the process gas flows through a upstream reactor and reaches a gas exit point and the prepolycondensate particles flow through the reactors. Method for continuous production of polycondensation products comprises preparing a pre-polycondensate me solidifying and forming pre-polycondensate particles, thermally treating the pre-polycondensate particles in the solid phase and in at least two successively operated reactors under conventional flow of a gas stream and the process is carried out as a cycle, where a part of the process gas flows through a upstream reactor (Rv) that is in the direction of a product flow from the bottom to top part of the reactor till it reaches a gas exit point and an another part of the process gas flows through the same reactor from the top to bottom part of the reactor until it reaches a gas exit point and where the pre-polycondensate particles flow like a fixed bed through at least two successively operated reactors, a part of the process gas flows through a down stream reactor (Rn) that is in the product flow direction and subsequently flows through the upstream reactor from a gas entry point to a gas exit point. An independent claim is included for an equipment for thermal treatment of polycondensate particles comprising: an upstream reactor in the direction of a product flow with product inlet in the upper part and a product outlet in the lower part of the reactor; a downstream reactor in the direction of the product flow with a product inlet in the upper part and the product outlet in the lower part of the reactor; a product pipeline, which connects the product outlet with the product inlet; at least a gas inlet and at least a gas outlet in the reactor; the gas inlet in the upper part of the reactor, the gas inlet in the lower part of the reactor and the gas outlet is arranged between an upper gas inlet and the lower gas inlet; at least a gas clean-up system (G), which is connected along the entry side of the reactor with the gas outlet and along the exit side with the gas inlet, where the gas outlet of the reactor is connected with the gas inlet of the reactor.
