The method involves controlling a unit generating image data signals of image data by video display terminals (3-5). Image data signals of the video display terminals are parallely transmitted as sequential overall image data signals. An individual control signal is assigned to one of the image display terminals and is used by the terminal for yielding corresponding information on the displays for representation. An independent claim is also included for a display arrangement for executing a method for operating a video display terminal.
