The device has two roller bearings (6a, 6b), whose outer rings (7a, 7b) are arranged in a housing and inner rings (9a, 9b) are arranged on a shaft (1). A fastening device (8a) is provided for axial deformation of the outer rings opposite to the inner rings. The fastening device includes an intermediate unit (14), which enables a change of axial pre-stressing of roller bearings through load-sensitive change of its thickness measurement.
