Oil separator for crankcase of internal combustion engine, has open-porous material provided in medium for separating oil from exhaust gas flow and between end regions of baffles and oil return
The separator has an inlet (3) for a fluid-containing exhaust gas flow. An open-porous material (4) is provided in a medium for separating a fluid e.g. oil, from the exhaust gas flow and between end regions of baffle and an oil return (5) for directing the separated fluid to the oil return. An outlet (8) for an impoverish exhaust gas flow is provided. A flow path (9) for the exhaust gas flow is provided between ends of the baffles and the open-porous material along a surface of the open-porous material.
