The unit positions and seals the outer tube (4) on a surface. A scale (17) is used to set the distance of the inner tube (5) and blower (10) from the surface. Power is supplied. The unit then blows the dust particles around. The flow rate can be set using a rotation rate regulator and air flow meter. Data such as inside temperature, outside temperature, ground temperature, air pressure, humidity and gas composition as well as time of day and cycle time are displayed. A probe (6) provides a sample flow to a measurement device.
