Fuel injection system for self-ignition internal combustion engine in e.g. passenger car, has pressurized storage structure accommodated in filling paths of differential pressure chamber to retard rise in pressure during filling of chamber
The system has a pressure booster with a working chamber, differential pressure chamber (20), and a compression chamber. The booster is controlled by an attachment valve, and is hydraulically connected with the pressure chamber of the fuel injector. A pressurized storage structure (56) is accommodated in filling paths (48,50) of the differential pressure chamber, so that the rise in pressure is retarded during the filling of the chamber. An independent claim is also included for a use of a fuel injection system in a self-ignition internal combustion engine in a passenger car or in a commercial vehicle.
