The lock has a cylindrical housing with a rotary cylindrical core with a key channel for a flat reversible key, spring-loaded housing and core pins, whereby normal and master keys can be removed from the key channel in defined rotary positions. It has at least one code pin with its longitudinal axis parallel to that of the associated core pin(s) that is displaced by the reversible key to control the associated core pin and hence also the associated housing pin in the separating plane enabling rotation of the cylinder core, thus enabling displacement of the core pin by the reversible key.
