Cylindrical lock comprises cylindrical core pins (7) formed on the end protruding into the key channel as scanning protrusions (9) which are narrower than the diameter of the core pins and are aligned in the longitudinal direction of the key channel. At least two core pins have different protrusions displaced in a parallel manner either in the center along the longitudinal plane of the key channel or to the left and right. An independent claim is also included for a flay key for a cylindrical lock. Preferred Features: The scanning protrusions are formed as bars (12) arranged at different distances parallel to the longitudinal plane or in the center along the longitudinal plane.
