The invention comprises a power supply unit, consisting of at least one transformer (tr1), at least one full bridge circuit, via which a primary winding of the transformer (tr1) to an input dc voltage (ue) is turned on and a secondary winding, by means of which, via a bridges - rectifier circuit as well as an output choke (l2) and an output capacitor (c2) an output circuit of with a dc output voltage (ua) is acted upon, and a snubber circuit, consisting of a diode (d5), a capacitor (c4) and a resistor (r1) for the reduction of secondary peak strains, wherein a further secondary winding, a further bridges - rectifier circuit and a further snubber are provided by which, via the output inductor (l2) and the output capacitor (c2) of the output circuit with a part of the dc output voltage (ua) is acted upon. As a result in the resistors (r1, r2) fewer losses and the efficiency is improved.
