The hydraulic system for an electric-powered materials handling truck/trolley, e.g. a forklift truck with battery power and hydraulic steering and function operation, has a pump assembly (7) for the hydraulic system (1) and steering (2) and the function operation (6). The pump assembly has two hydraulic pumps (9,10) powered by an electromotor (8). One pump (9) is for the hydraulic system and the other pump (10) supplies the steering and other units.
