The device has two parallel belt drives that are provided at the front side of an internal combustion engine. One drive is arranged in a plane (33) that is nearer to the engine and the other drive is arranged in a plane (35) that is far from the engine. Guide and tensioning rollers of the belt drives are supported at the engine block by a support bolt (38) that bypasses the plane (33) and a spacer bushing (42). The spacer bushing comprises a constriction (56) in the area of the plane (33). Axial length of the constriction corresponds to the width of a drive belt (2) of one belt drive.
