The transponder has an electrode that is arranged opposite to another electrode and forms an electrical capacitor (7) together with the latter electrode, where the electrodes are formed as finger electrodes. A signal processing circuit processes an electrical signal and is connected in parallel with the capacitor. An inductor (9) is connected in parallel to the capacitor and is arranged between the electrodes such that a reactance of the inductor partially compensates a reactance of the capacitor for the electrical signal.
