The device has a pair of injector nozzles (9, 10), which blow alternatively in panel transport direction (2) or in opposite direction to panel surfaces, as blowing units for a step-back conveyance. The nozzles have drives (18, 19) to define and change the blow out direction. Each nozzle has a guide plate (16, 17) before the nozzle mouth for the defined change of the blow out direction. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating a textile panel drying and shrinking device.
